In response to Amys film post I decided to do a kick back to B/W as well. As she said film is THE SHIT! this is digital tho... sorry Amy but b/w film is a process, and to give it what it deserves you must be true to that process, and I just didn't have the time, this is quick and dirty, faked the film look with filters from Alien Skins, very little post processing on this baby. Films crazy cool, maybe next post ...... we'll see how the week rolls out.

I have been working in the black and white darkroom for 8 years and still very much love film. With my film work I want to emphasize the qualities digital wants to hide. This is a 35 mm negative scanned.

Take it for what it is. A Photo. Photo being greek for light.

Here's one that I took for a really lame project last week. The outline was to take a photograph of an open mouth.
I think the paper inside the mouth can signify a lot: words unsaid, garbage, just something pretty...anything applicable to the viewer.

Allow me to start us off. This is an image I captured while out looking for inspiration. I enjoy capturing moments of the everyday from an unusual perspective which makes the viewer question the little things in life we take for granted.
